The NES really got the ball rolling in the 80s when it came to consoles. Giving us 8bit classics like Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby, and much more. I played the NES and then SNES as my first consoles as a kid, so I am super excited for the re-release and miniaturized version of the NES Classic. The original NES console is hard to find in good shape currently, so this re-release will make it much easier for your to peak your nostalgia when you'd like.
Nintendo even kept their box retro looking. They have also uploaded 30 of their most popular games, meaning all you have to do is plug the console into the TV/monitor and start saving the princess of your choice.
The console has been updated with HDMI of course, and an AC adaptor that isnt 4ft wide. I have a feeling this will take up about as much space as a Nintendo Switch at most.
The biggest change in my eyes comes in the form of saving. The console has 4 save slots for each game, so you will press the Reset button and save your progress. No more pausing for days on end in order not to lose your spot.
Anyone who knows me, also knows that I am DEFINITELY going to be playing the original Final Fantasy now cleaned up in a whopping 4:3 resolution.
